I'd assume Intel has drivers for the G965 chipset on their website. They seem to be more stable even if they don't enable all the manufacturer's bells and whistles. I always use NVidia generic drivers rather than those provided by the video card manufacturers.

Installing the latest video card drivers from NVidia fixed it. Every new Dell E207WFP for sale is fully guaranteed by our 90-day warranty.
DELL E207WFP. HOW TO
I was also reding here on the forum that you can manually put the resolution in the EDID structure and force it somehow to get to this resolution, but I have no idea how to do this.Īny idea how can I solve this had a similar problem when I bought a new Gateway widescreen two weeks ago. This Dell E207WFP 20.1 Inch Flat Panel Widescreen LCD Monitor is in new condition, but may be missing original packaging and documentation. I uninstalled the dell driver and went back to Plug&Play monitor, I updated the graphics driver from Intel's website, I updated the monitor driver from dell website, but still, NO 1680x1050. Then, I updated the monitor drivers from the CD that came in the package with the monitor, I rebooted the system and from that point I didn't have the 1680x1050 in the resolution list. Last night, I unplugged my old monitor and plugged the new Dell and I was able to set the 1680x1050 resolution. This lcd is totally comparable in sharpness which is a plus when. Just a grea product from Dell I never regret purchasing this lcd monitor though my 17 inch CRT which this replaced was truly sharp. Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2008. I have a X3000 (G965 chipset) on board video card on a Intel G965 motherboard. 5.0 out of 5 stars DELL E207WFP 20.1' Digital/Analog TFT Flat Panel Monitor.
